Mentor and Tutor, now an attorney has been recognized a one of the State’s outstanding business person; A once homeless C.A.E.P. Student participated in the C.A.E.P. First Jobs Program, recently won a scholarship for twenty thousand dollars ($20,000) College Application Education Project, Inc. (C.A.E.P.) is on fire for life, achievement and success. INDIVIDUAL DONORS ARE THE MOST POWERFUL RESOURCE. Please join this effort.

GOALS:

A. Provide a minimum of Police Civil Service Examination books in preparation for the Lynn Police Department Police Civil Service Examination instructional classes;

A. Take at least four (4) college visits before the end of the year in 2018;

B. Hire four students for the Summer of 2018;

C. Hire one (1) Program Assistant by the end of 2018;

D. Raise One hundred thousand dollars ($100,000) from individual donors by the end of 2018.

The mission of the College Application Education Project, Inc. is to set up an institutional mechanism and a community structure whereby parents and middle school and high school students of all cultures can receive direct college preparation. This training assists them with career development, college preparation, admissions, and financial applications.

The College Application Education Project, Inc. (C.A.E.P.) Motto is: “To effectuate Positive Change.”

What this community lacks in economic funding, the community makes up in leadership and a shared commitment to community.  The “Fribrinium” of this community is the ability to share the knowledge to effectuate positive change.  Here the leader of C.A.E.P. is also committed to improving:

Lynn Council on Aging as President; The Community Brotherhood and Auxiliary Scholarship Fund, Inc., as President; Zion Baptist Church- President of the Men’s Auxiliary; Essex County Community Organization (ECCO), as a member of the Board of Directors; Frederick Douglass 200 Committee (Lynn); A member of Kappa Alpha Psi Fraternity, Inc.; A member of Prince Hall - Widow Son Lodge #28; A supporter of the Community Minority Cultural Center.

Out of all of the above, the youth are the most valuable and the most vulnerable and require the most resources.  C.A.E.P. Youth have set this community on fire for life, achievement and success. Please join us in this effort.

Need help preparing for the 2019 Civil Service Police Exam?

Do you want to make a difference in your community?


The Lynn Police Department has partnered with the College Application Education Project and will offer several training sessions prior to the 2019 Police Officer Entrance Exam.  These training sessions will be offered in 2019 at a location and time to be announced.

This first time program is offered to Lynn residents only and is offered on a first come, first served basis.  There will be two community events prior to the training sessions to get the word out.

  • The first event will be held at 1:00 pm. on Sunday, April 8, 2018, at the Zion Baptist Church located at 4 Adams Street Extension.

  • The second event will be held at 7:00pm. on Tuesday, October 16, 2018, at the Lynn Police Department located at 300 Washington Street.
